Capability Readiness Governance Standard (CRGS) defines thestructural conditions under which actors, systems, organizations,
agents, contractors, tools, resources, qualifications, competencies,
permissions, and operational environments remain capable of
performing assigned responsibilities in a valid, traceable,
governable, accountable, and operationally reliable manner.
CRGS governs capability readiness.
The standard establishes the foundational conditions required to
determine whether a responsible actor is actually capable of
performing the responsibility assigned to them.
Responsibility creates obligation.
Capability enables execution.
CRGS governs whether execution capability exists.
A. Standard Abstract
Many governance failures occur because responsibilities are assignedto actors that are not capable of performing them.
