Autonomous Operational Accountability Standard (AOAS) defines thestructural conditions under which accountability for autonomous
operations is established, attributed, preserved, evidenced,
validated, and continuously governed throughout the complete
autonomous operational lifecycle.
AOAS governs autonomous operational accountability.
The standard establishes the governance conditions required to
ensure that responsibility for autonomous operations remains
continuously attributable, demonstrable, and governance-valid
regardless of operational complexity or autonomy level.

Autonomous operations never eliminate accountability.They require accountability to remain continuously identifiable,
attributable, and verifiable.
Without governed accountability:
- operational responsibility becomes unclear,
- governance decisions become difficult to justify,
- operational evidence weakens,
- trust declines,
- organizational responsibility becomes fragmented.
AOAS establishes the governance conditions required to preserve
accountable autonomous operation throughout the complete operational
lifecycle.
