Canonical Definition
Authority Governance Standard (AGS) defines the structuralconditions under which authority remains identifiable, legitimate,
attributable, bounded, traceable, governable, enforceable, and
operationally valid throughout operational environments.
AGS governs authority.
The standard establishes the foundational conditions required to
determine who possesses the legitimate right to decide, approve,
authorize, direct, restrict, supervise, intervene, delegate,
escalate, or govern actions within an operational system.
Authority is the governance mechanism that grants the right to act.
Without authority, responsibility cannot be legitimately assigned
and accountability cannot be reliably reconstructed.
AGS governs the integrity of authority itself.
