OBIDENITY™ Identity Governance Rules

Rule Layer for Identity Creation,
Representation, and Use

OBIDENITY™ Identity Governance Rules define the conditions under which identity
may be created, represented, transferred, and used within the OBIDENITY™
framework.

These rules establish when identity can be considered valid, trusted, and
acceptable for use.

This rule layer is extensible and may evolve as new identity use cases emerge.

Core Rules

1. AI Identity Representation Rule

An identity may be represented by AI systems only if:

  • the identity is bound to a verifiable origin
  • the representation is clearly disclosed as non-original
  • the linkage between identity and AI representation is traceable
  • the representation does not simulate identity without disclosure

2. Post-Mortem Identity Rule

The identity of a deceased individual may be created or used only under defined
conditions:

  • if a legal or designated inheritor exists, explicit authorization is required
  • if no identifiable owner exists (e.g. historical figures), identity may be used
    as public-domain reference
  • representation must be clearly disclosed as simulation, reconstruction, or
    interpretation
  • interpretation must respect known characteristics and historical context

3. Identity Ownership Rule

Identity must have a clearly defined controlling authority.

  • ownership or control must be traceable
  • no entity may assume control without authorization
  • ownership and usage rights must be distinguishable
  • ownership changes must be recorded

4. Identity Transfer Rule

Identity control or usage rights may be transferred only under traceable conditions.

  • all transfers must be recorded
  • no silent or untraceable transfer is permitted
  • identity continuity must be preserved
  • responsibility must remain linked to the identity chain

Structural Principle

Identity may be used only under conditions that preserve origin, continuity, and
integrity.

Closing Statement

Without rules, identity becomes imitation without accountability.
