Standard Abstract
A classification loses value if it cannot be consistently understoodoutside the system where it was created.
Organizations increasingly exchange classifications across
platforms, regulatory environments, AI systems, and operational
domains. Without governed interoperability, classifications may
become inconsistent, ambiguous, or incompatible.
Classification Interoperability Standard establishes the governance
framework that enables classifications to remain compatible,
transferable, consistently interpreted, and operationally reliable
across heterogeneous environments.
