Assigning a classification does not automatically prove that theclassification is correct.
Every classification must be independently validated against its
approved scope, governing criteria, contextual conditions,
supporting evidence, and assignment methodology before it can be
considered operationally trustworthy.
Classification Validation Standard establishes the fifth governance
layer of CLA®, ensuring that every assigned classification is
objectively verified before it is relied upon by people,
organizations, AI systems, or autonomous systems.
Why This Standard Exists
Classification decisions may appear correct while containingmethodological errors, incomplete evidence, inconsistent reasoning,
or governance deficiencies.
Without independent validation, organizations cannot reliably
determine whether a classification is trustworthy or operationally
suitable.
Classification Validation Standard exists because Classification
Validation represents the fifth governed space of CLA® —
Classification Architecture, ensuring that every classification is
independently verified before operational reliance.
