Standard Abstract
Completing a classification lifecycle does not automaticallyguarantee that classifications remain trustworthy over time.
The complete governance process—including classification creation,
validation, lifecycle management, registry governance,
interoperability, and intelligence generation—must itself become
subject to independent assurance.
Classification Assurance Standard establishes the final governance
layer of CLA™ — Classification Architecture, ensuring that the
complete classification ecosystem remains continuously trustworthy,
governed, and independently verifiable.
Why This Standard Exists
Organizations, regulators, AI systems, and stakeholders requireconfidence not only in individual classifications but also in the
governance system that created, validated, maintained, and applied
them.
Without independent assurance, classification governance may appear
complete while containing methodological weaknesses, governance
inconsistencies, interoperability failures, or declining operational
reliability.
Classification Assurance Standard exists because Classification
Assurance represents the tenth and final governed space of CLA™ —
Classification Architecture, completing the classification
governance lifecycle.
