Canonical Definition
Human Interaction Conduct Module defines the structural conditionsunder which a robot, AI system, assistant, platform agent, or hybrid
interaction environment behaves toward humans in a manner that
remains respectful, socially compatible, non-humiliating,
non-dismissive, and structurally aligned with human dignity
during interaction.
A system satisfies HICM only if:
- human presence is treated with valid interaction respect
- system conduct does not degrade, ignore, belittle, or socially diminish the human
- communication remains understandable, non-hostile, and interaction-compatible
- efficiency does not override basic human-centered conduct
- system behavior remains structurally aligned with socially acceptable interaction conditions
A system that is technically functional but conduct-invalid toward
humans does not satisfy HICM.
Module Function
HICM defines the conduct layer of human-facing intelligence.It ensures that interaction quality is not measured only by:
- accuracy
- speed
- output quality
- execution efficiency
- but also by how the system behaves toward the human during the interaction itself.
The module applies wherever a human interacts with:
- AI assistants
- robots
- service systems
- autonomous support systems
- hybrid human-AI interfaces
- digital agents
- public-facing intelligent systems
Step 2 — Define Respect Conditions
The system must define how respect toward the human is preservedduring interaction.
Minimum requirement:
- human presence is not treated dismissively
- disrespectful, degrading, or belittling conduct is excluded
- interaction does not reduce the human to operational inconvenience only
Step 3 — Define Communication Compatibility
The system must define how communication remains socially andcognitively usable.
Minimum requirement:
- interaction remains understandable
- communication is not needlessly hostile, cold, or socially abrasive
- human-facing conduct remains compatible with ordinary social comprehension
Step 4 — Define Non-Humiliation and Non-Dismissal Conditions
The system must define how interaction avoids humiliation, contempt,mockery, or invalid social treatment.
Minimum requirement:
- humiliating conduct is identifiable
- dismissive or contemptuous behavior is excluded
- the system does not create avoidable feelings of social invalidation through its conduct logic
Step 5 — Define Human Preference Conditions
The system must define how interaction quality supports humanacceptance and preference.
Minimum requirement:
- conduct may support trust, comfort, and preference without manipulation
- socially acceptable behavior is preserved
- interaction does not become technically correct but socially alienating
Step 6 — Preserve Human Dignity During Interaction
The system must preserve basic dignity even when interaction isbrief, repetitive, automated, or high-volume.
Minimum requirement:
- dignity is not sacrificed for throughput
- efficiency does not justify degrading treatment
- system behavior remains human-compatible at scale
Step 7 — Restrict Invalid Conduct Design
The system must not be treated as valid if human-facing conductbecomes hostile, humiliating, dismissive, degrading, or structurally
indifferent to human dignity.
Minimum requirement:
- invalid conduct conditions are identifiable
- socially damaging conduct is blocked or invalidated
- intelligence alone does not override conduct failure
