Canonical Definition
Validation Determination Basis & Result Qualification Module(VDBRQM) defines the governance framework for assembling, verifying,
bounding, qualifying, and preserving the complete governed
information basis from which Validation Determination may
legitimately proceed and for determining which Validation Execution
Results are methodologically eligible, conditionally eligible,
restricted, superseded, or ineligible to contribute to
that determination.
It establishes the transition from a completed Validation Execution
Record into an identifiable and governed Validation
Determination Basis.
Operational Role
VDBRQM serves as the first internal governance space of theValidation Determination Standard.
The preceding Validation Execution Standard establishes:
- what was actually executed,
- what outputs were generated,
- whether execution was complete,
- whether execution was conformant,
- which deviations occurred,
- which limitations remain,
- and whether execution is Determination Ready.
VDBRQM asks: Which parts of that governed execution record may
legitimately participate in Validation Determination, under what
conditions, and within which determination boundaries?

Module Function
VDBRQM applies after Validation Execution has reached aDetermination Ready or Conditionally Ready condition.
Its function is to prevent:
- every generated output automatically entering determination,
- invalid execution results being mixed with legitimate results,
- superseded results being counted twice,
- duplicate measurements distorting interpretation,
- results being detached from their object version,
- results being interpreted outside their executed scope,
- conditionally usable results losing their conditions,
- evidence limitations disappearing,
- source restrictions disappearing,
- execution deviations being forgotten,
- incomparable results being aggregated,
- partial execution being represented as a complete determination basis,
- and later criterion determinations relying upon information whose methodological eligibility was never established.
Validation Determination Basis
The Validation Determination Basis is the governed collection ofinformation from which formal Validation Determination is permitted
to proceed.
It may include:
- Validation Object reference,
- object version or state,
- Validation Purpose,
- actual Validation Scope,
- achieved Validation Depth,
- applicable Validation Criteria,
- applicable thresholds,
- acceptance conditions,
- rejection conditions,
- approved Validation Method,
- Evidence Fitness information,
- Source Reliability information,
- Validation Execution Record,
- Execution Completeness status,
- Execution Conformity status,
- qualified execution results,
- residual deviations,
- unresolved exceptions,
- execution limitations,
- evidence limitations,
- source limitations,
- uncertainty,
- and applicable determination restrictions.
Determination Basis Is Not the Entire Execution Record
The complete Validation Execution Record may contain informationthat should not participate equally in determination.
For example, it may contain:
- failed test attempts,
- invalid measurements,
- superseded outputs,
- diagnostic data,
- repeated tests,
- outputs generated during control loss,
- results produced against the wrong configuration,
- exploratory observations,
- or records retained only for traceability.
VDBRQM therefore distinguishes:
Validation Execution Record
from: Validation Determination Basis
The first records what occurred.
The second establishes what may legitimately support the conclusion.
Determination Readiness Verification
Before assembling the Determination Basis, VDBRQM verifies theDetermination Readiness status produced by VEXS.
Possible incoming conditions include:

VDBRQM must preserve this status rather than bypass it.
Determination Conditionally Ready
Where execution is Conditionally Ready, VDBRQM must propagate theapplicable conditions into the Determination Basis.
For example:
- reduced scope,
- restricted criterion set,
- unresolved minor limitation,
- conditionally usable execution portion,
- or another explicit boundary.
Object Version Continuity
Where version matters, the determination basis must identifythe exact:
- version,
- configuration,
- release,
- state,
- temporal instance,
- dataset edition,
- model checkpoint,
- or other relevant object representation.
Results from materially different versions should not be
silently merged.
Determination Purpose Continuity
The purpose of determination must remain within the governedValidation Purpose.
A result generated for one validation purpose should not
automatically be repurposed to support another materially
different determination.

Validation Depth Continuity
The achieved Validation Depth is carried into theDetermination Basis.
A result generated under limited validation depth cannot
automatically support a high-assurance determination.
VDBRQM therefore preserves: Achieved Validation Depth → Permissible
Determination Strength
Criteria Set Continuity
The applicable Validation Criteria should remain identifiable beforeresult qualification begins.
VDBRQM preserves:
- criterion identity,
- criterion version,
- criterion hierarchy,
- mandatory status,
- critical status,
- thresholds,
- acceptance conditions,
- rejection conditions,
- and applicable criterion dependencies.
Validation Execution Result
A Validation Execution Result is an output generated through avalidation activity that may potentially contribute to
Validation Determination.
Results may include:
- measurements,
- observations,
- classifications,
- comparisons,
- statistical outputs,
- simulation outputs,
- test outcomes,
- detected behaviors,
- expert assessments,
- AI-generated analytical outputs,
- system responses,
- or other execution-derived information.
Generation does not establish eligibility.
Result Identity
A material Validation Execution Result should besufficiently identifiable.
A Result Record may contain:
- Result Identifier,
- Execution Instance,
- Validation Object,
- object state,
- method step,
- applicable criterion,
- generating activity,
- evidence used,
- source used,
- time,
- environment,
- configuration,
- control state,
- and applicable deviation relationship.
Result Qualification
Result Qualification determines whether an execution resultpossesses sufficient methodological standing to contribute to
Validation Determination.
Qualification asks:
- Was the result generated by legitimate execution?
- Is it connected to the correct Validation Object?
- Was the correct method used?
- Is it relevant to the applicable criterion?
- Were required controls active?
- Are evidence conditions satisfied?
- Are source conditions satisfied?
- Is the result within scope?
- Is the result sufficiently traceable?
- Is it superseded?
- Is it duplicated?
- Is it affected by unresolved deviation?
- Can it be meaningfully interpreted?
Result Qualification Status
VDBRQM may classify results as:Determination Eligible
The result may legitimately contribute to Validation Determination
within its governed scope.
Conditionally Determination Eligible
The result may contribute only under explicit conditions,
limitations, restrictions, corroboration requirements, or
interpretive boundaries.
Determination Restricted
The result is legitimate only for a narrower purpose, criterion,
scope, population, environment, or analytical role.
Determination Ineligible
The result should not contribute substantively to the
Validation Determination.
Eligibility Undetermined
Available information is insufficient to establish the result's
methodological eligibility.
Eligibility Is Not Favorability
Result Qualification must remain independent of whether the resultsupports the desired outcome.
A favorable result should not receive easier qualification.
An unfavorable result should not receive stricter qualification.
VALIDOS™ establishes:
Result Eligibility Must Be Determined by Methodological Fitness, Not
Outcome Preference
Conditional Result Eligibility
A result may be conditionally eligible where:- corroboration is required,
- a source has limited reliability,
- execution was conditionally conformant,
- environmental conditions restrict interpretation,
- a measurement has known uncertainty,
- scope is limited,
- or another governed condition applies.
The condition must remain attached to the result
throughout determination.
Result Restriction
A valid result may have a narrower legitimate role thanoriginally intended.
For example, a result may be usable:
- descriptively but not conclusively,
- for one criterion but not another,
- for one population only,
- for one environment,
- as supporting evidence only,
- or within a defined time period.
VDBRQM makes such restrictions explicit.
Result Exclusion
A result may require exclusion where it is:- generated by invalid execution,
- connected to the wrong object,
- methodologically corrupted,
- produced during critical control loss,
- insufficiently traceable,
- outside scope,
- based upon unusable evidence,
- dependent upon a disqualified source,
- or otherwise incapable of legitimately supporting determination.
Exclusion must remain recorded.
Duplicate Result Control
Validation processes may unintentionally count the same underlyingobservation multiple times.
For example:
- one event appears in multiple logs,
- one dataset is represented by several derived metrics,
- the same source is repeated through multiple channels,
- or one measurement is copied into several reports.
VDBRQM prevents duplicated information from artificially increasing
determination strength.
Result Independence
Where multiple results are treated as independent support, theiractual independence should be considered.
Ten outputs derived from the same underlying source are not
necessarily equivalent to ten independent observations.
This is particularly important for corroboration and confidence.
Conditionally Comparable Results
Results may be compared only after:- normalization,
- scope restriction,
- adjustment,
- explicit caveat,
- or another governed treatment.
Result Provenance
Every material result should remain traceable to its origin withinvalidation execution.
Result provenance may include:
Execution Instance → Activity → Method Step → Evidence → Source →
Object State → Result
This allows later determination to understand how the result came
into existence.
Evidence Condition Propagation
Evidence conditions established earlier in VALIDOS™ must remainconnected to results derived from that evidence.
If evidence was:
Conditionally Fit
then a dependent result may inherit relevant limitations.
VDBRQM prevents evidence restrictions from disappearing during
determination preparation.
Execution Limitation Propagation
Execution limitations identified by VEXS must remain visible in theDetermination Basis.
These may include:
- reduced scope,
- incomplete activity,
- partial conformity,
- environmental limitation,
- configuration limitation,
- traceability limitation,
- or another execution condition.
Result Completeness
Result Completeness asks whether the execution record contains theexpected material results necessary for criterion determination.
A result set may be:
Complete Conditionally Complete
Partially Complete
Incomplete
or:
Completeness Undetermined
This is distinct from Execution Completeness.
Execution may have occurred while one expected result was not
successfully generated.
Determination Basis Completeness
The complete Determination Basis should contain sufficientlegitimate information to support criterion-level determination.
Possible conditions include:

Determination Basis Conflict
A Determination Basis Conflict exists where two or more componentsof the basis impose materially incompatible interpretations or
conditions before criterion determination begins.
Examples include:
- two valid results generated against materially different object states,
- incompatible method outputs,
- contradictory evidence conditions,
- incompatible source restrictions,
- or conflicting execution scopes.
Such conflicts must remain explicit.
Basis Freeze
Before criterion-level determination begins, the materialDetermination Basis should be version-fixed.
A Determination Basis Freeze establishes which:
- results,
- criteria,
- evidence,
- sources,
- execution records,
- limitations,
- deviations,
- and uncertainty conditions
were available to the determination process.
Why Determination Basis Freeze Matters
Without a Basis Freeze, information may be added, removed, orreplaced while determination is being performed without preserving
which information actually supported the conclusion.
VALIDOS™ therefore establishes:
A Validation Determination must be traceable to the information
basis from which it was actually derived.
Determination Basis Versioning
Material changes should create distinguishable basis versions.For example:

The implementation may choose its own versioning mechanism.
The governance requirement is preservation of material change.
Basis Change
After freeze, material changes may include:- newly discovered result,
- excluded result,
- corrected result,

- uncertainty revision,
- or scope correction.
Such changes may require determination restart or reassessment.
Qualification Reassessment
A result's qualification may change when new information emerges.Possible transitions include:

or another governed transition.
Earlier qualification should remain historically visible.

Bind determination to the correct Validation Object, version,
configuration, and state.
3. Establish Determination Boundaries
Preserve:

- achieved Validation Depth,
- and applicable Criteria Set.
4. Assemble Execution Results
Identify all material outputs potentially relevant to determination.
5. Qualify Results
Classify each material result according to its
methodological eligibility.
6. Propagate Conditions
Attach relevant:
- Evidence Fitness conditions,
- Source Reliability conditions,
- execution limitations,
- residual deviations,
- and uncertainty.
7. Control Duplicates, Supersession, and Comparability
Prevent artificial inflation or invalid aggregation of results.

Determine whether required material results are available.
9. Assess Determination Basis Completeness & Consistency
Identify missing information, contradictions, or Basis Conflicts.
10. Freeze and Version the Determination Basis
Preserve the exact governed information basis entering
criterion determination.

VDBRQM does not treat all 1,050 recorded outputs as equivalent
determination evidence.
It identifies:
- affected original outputs,
- corrected repetitions,
- supersession relationships,
- control-loss conditions,
- duplicate relationships,
- and result eligibility.
Result
Only the methodologically qualified result set enters
criterion determination.
The larger raw output count cannot artificially increase
validation confidence.
Use Case 2 — Industrial Validation
ScenarioTwo measurement systems produce results for the same
Validation Criterion.
Both systems are individually valid, but they use different
measurement scales and environmental conditions.
Application
VDBRQM assesses result comparability before the outputs
are aggregated.
Result
The results may be classified as:
Conditionally Comparable
and require normalization or separate interpretation rather than
being directly averaged.
Use Case 3 — Autonomous Validation System
ScenarioAn autonomous validation agent generates thousands of test outputs,
including failed attempts, retries, diagnostic outputs, and final
successful executions.
Application
VDBRQM distinguishes:
- diagnostic outputs,

- final eligible results,

Result
Automated scale does not become methodological weight by itself.
