Canonical Definition
A Virtual Representation is a non-physical presentation of an assetin a digital or simulated environment that allows access, viewing,
or interaction without transferring or altering the original asset.
A virtual representation does not replace the original
and does not constitute ownership of the asset.
Why This Matters
Without clear classification of virtual representations:
- digital experiences may be confused with ownership
- representations may be mistaken for copies
- original assets may be exposed to unnecessary risk
- access and control become unclear
Minimum Implementation Framework (MIF)
