Minimal Self- Declaration Framework
1. Origin Disclosure
The origin of primary materials or resources used in production must bedeclared.
Examples may include:
- own cultivation or production
- local supplier sourcing
- regional sourcing
- imported materials
2. Material Transparency
Primary materials used in the product must be declared.The declaration should provide visibility of:
- material categories
- natural or synthetic origin
- principal inputs used in production
3. Production Process Transparency
The core production process must be described.The declaration should include:
- description of production stages
- responsible entity
Responsibility Declaration
The producer publishes a public declaration confirming that theinformation disclosed reflects the actual production structure.
Example declaration:
“This product is declared under the Origin Eco™ Standard. Origin of
materials, material composition, and production process transparency are
publicly disclosed under producer responsibility.”
Documentation Requirements
Implementation typically requires:
- one origin disclosure sheet
- one material transparency sheet
- one production process description
- one responsibility declaration
