Why This Matters
Without clear authorization:
- copies may be created without permission
- representations may be misused
- ownership may be violated
- monetization becomes illegitimate
Minimum Implementation Framework (MIF)
Step 1 — Identify the AssetDefine the asset to which rights are applied.
Step 2 — Identify the Authority
Determine the individual or entity that holds
control over the asset.
Step 3 — Define Permissions
Specify what is allowed:
- create
- copy
- represent
- exhibit
- monetize
Declare whether the action is:
- authorized
- partially authorized
- not authorized
Authorization must remain linked to the asset
and its origin.
