Canonical Definition
Agent Delegation Integrity Module defines the governanceconditions under which an autonomous system may delegate tasks,
decisions, actions, or execution responsibility from one agent, model,
runtime, or coordination entity to another without losing structural
validity, authority control, or auditability.
A system satisfies ADIM only if:
- delegation boundaries are explicitly defined
- the delegating entity is authorized to delegate
- the receiving entity is valid for the delegated scope
- delegated execution remains traceable
- delegation does not bypass governance, authority, runtime, or ethical restrictions
A system that delegates without governed integrity conditions does not
satisfy ADIM.
Module Function
ADIM defines the delegation boundary of orchestration governance. It ensures that delegation is not treated as a neutral runtime
convenience, but as a governance event that must remain bounded,
authorized, and auditable.
The module applies wherever multi-agent systems pass tasks, decisions,
subtasks, control, or execution responsibility between autonomous
components.
Minimum Implementation Framework (MIF)
Step 4 — Define Delegation Boundaries
The system must define what restrictions remain attached to delegatedexecution.
Minimum requirement:
- delegated tasks retain governance boundaries
- delegation does not erase runtime limits, authority limits, or ethical limits
- indirect delegation does not silently expand scope
Step 6 — Restrict Invalid Delegation
The system must not be treated as valid if delegation is used to bypasscontrol, hide responsibility, or expand execution beyond defined
boundaries.
Minimum requirement:
- invalid delegation conditions are identifiable
- governance bypass through delegation is blocked
- delegation convenience does not override validity conditions
