Canonical Definition
Attribution Evidence Continuity Module (AECM) defines the structural conditions underwhich operational actions, runtime decisions, execution events, state transitions,
delegated operations, and consequence-bearing outputs remain continuously attributable
to identifiable operational actors, systems, runtime states, or authority conditions
across live execution environments.
A system satisfies AECM only if:
- operational actions remain attributable
- runtime decisions preserve actor continuity
- consequence-bearing outputs remain traceable to operational origin
- delegated execution does not dissolve attribution continuity
- operational identity linkage survives runtime progression
A system that produces operational consequences without preserved attribution continuity
does not satisfy AECM.
Module Function
The module applies wherever systems must preserve:- actor attribution continuity
- runtime decision attribution
- delegated execution traceability
- operational identity linkage
- consequence-bearing action attribution
- cross-system operational attribution
Its function is to ensure that operational evidence remains attributable strongly enough to
preserve reconstructable operational accountability.
Minimum Implementation Framework
1. Define the Attribution ObjectThe organization must define which operational actions, decisions, or outputs require
preserved attribution continuity.
This may include:
- runtime decisions
- execution events
- delegated actions
- orchestration actions
- permission changes
- escalation events
- consequence-bearing outputs
2. Define Attribution Continuity Conditions
The system must define the conditions under which operational attribution remains
continuously preservable across execution flow.
This includes:
- actor continuity
- runtime-state linkage
- operational identity continuity
- delegated attribution continuity
- consequence attribution continuity
3. Define Attribution Break Detection Logic
The system must define how attribution discontinuity or attribution ambiguity is identified.
This may include:
- unattributable execution
- broken actor continuity
- hidden delegated actions
- ambiguous runtime ownership
- disconnected operational identity states
4. Define Operational Response or Governance Logic
The system must define governance logic for materially broken attribution continuity
conditions.
Governance response may include:
- attribution escalation
- runtime narrowing
- operational review activation
- delegated execution restriction
- evidence invalidation
- operational accountability review
5. Preserve Traceability & Restrict Invalid Conditions
The system must preserve reconstructable traceability of attribution continuity and
attribution-break states. A system must not remain attribution-valid if consequence-bearing
operational outputs can no longer be reliably connected to identifiable operational actors
or runtime conditions.
