About OOF® Global Interest Heat Map™
The OOF® Global Interest Heat Map™ shows country-level signals of engagement with OOF® governance methodologies, architectures, standards, maps, and related methodological resources.
The map is updated automatically every 24 hours and presents interest at the country level.
It is designed to answer one simple question:
Where in the world is interest in governance methodology developing?
How It Works
OOF® uses aggregated country-level visit observations from Cloudflare Web Analytics.
A Cloudflare visit is a traffic observation used by the analytics source. A visit is not a verified unique person, unique user, device, or identity, and the map never equates visits with people.
The map does not require cookies, visitor profiles, or individual tracking.
It measures geographic patterns rather than people.
No cookies. No visitor profiles. No individual tracking.
Country activity is evaluated comparatively, with population differences and data reliability taken into account so that the map is not simply a ranking of website traffic.
No individual visitor data or raw traffic numbers are displayed.
Reading the Map
Countries are represented by simple interest states:
Very High Interest — independently sufficient intensity, recurrence, continuity and reliability with resistance to concentrated repetition.
🟢 High Interest — strong relative interest in OOF® governance methodology.
🔵 Moderate Interest — meaningful and established interest.
🟡 Emerging Interest — interest is beginning to develop.
⚪ Insufficient Signal — there is not yet enough information for a reliable classification.
Insufficient Signal does not mean Low Interest.
Where sufficient information exists, the map may also indicate whether interest is rising, stable, or declining.
Classification Methodology
The observation window is the previous rolling 14 days. A country can first qualify for Emerging Interest with at least 3 qualifying visits across at least 2 active days. Three or more visits occurring on only one day remain Insufficient Signal.
Repeated activity continues to contribute, but each day's contribution uses diminishing returns after four visits. The calculation uses the daily value min(visits, 4) + 2 × ln(1 + max(visits − 4, 0)). This makes distributed recurring activity stronger evidence than the same raw volume concentrated into a short burst.
The saturated activity is normalized by country population and combined with reliability, active-day continuity, observation span and a concentration penalty. Population normalization does not remove the independent minimum evidence requirements.
Moderate Interest requires at least 12 visits, 4 active days, a 4-day span, reliability of 0.25 and score of 0.20.
High Interest requires at least 30 visits, 6 active days, a 7-day span, reliability of 0.55 and score of 0.70.
Very High Interest requires at least 60 visits, 8 active days, a 10-day span, reliability of 0.75, score of 1.20 and no single day contributing more than 45% of the country's visits. It is not awarded merely because a country ranks first.
Algorithm version 3.0 keeps these constants in one auditable configuration section in the classification engine.
Privacy, Technical Traffic and Freshness
The public dataset contains classifications and momentum only. It does not publish raw visit counts, IP addresses, device identifiers, visitor profiles, unique-person estimates or internal scoring inputs.
The source query excludes traffic identified by Cloudflare's bot signal. The available aggregate rows do not reliably identify every synthetic request or distinguish programmers, collaborators, returning visitors or professions. No additional identity-based exclusions are invented.
The source is checked daily. A valid dataset is replaced only after atomic validation, while a failed or malformed refresh preserves the last valid dataset. The map displays a visible warning when the latest verified check is more than 36 hours old.
A daily check does not force a new public revision when classifications, momentum and synchronized governance spaces are unchanged.
Canonical Governance Space Synchronization
The map does not decide whether an architecture or governance space is canonical. It reads explicitly completed entries from the machine-readable OOF® Canonical Architecture Index.
The governed lifecycle is: OOF approval → Canonical Architecture Index → automatic Global Interest Heat Map synchronization.
If the canonical source is missing, unreadable or incomplete, the refresh fails safely and preserves the last valid public dataset. Page names, filenames and visual similarity are never used to invent canonical status.
Why the Map Exists
Governance challenges are global.
The OOF® Global Interest Heat Map™ makes the geographic development of interest in governance methodology visible.
It allows researchers, organizations, institutions, developers, policymakers, students, and other observers to see where methodological attention is forming and how that pattern changes over time.
A country seeing strong interest elsewhere may begin exploring the same governance questions, architectures, and standards.
The map therefore serves not only as an observation tool, but also as an invitation to explore.
See where governance methodology is being studied.
See where interest is emerging.
Then explore the methodologies behind it.
Global Methodological Interest
The map does not claim that a country, government, institution, or population endorses OOF®.
It shows a geographic signal of engagement with OOF® methodological infrastructure.
As OOF® reaches new countries, the map evolves with that interest.
The OOF® Global Interest Heat Map™ makes global methodological attention visible — one country at a time.
