Its function is to ensure that cognition remains sufficiently understandable
to support governance-valid operation.


Minimum Implementation Framework

1. Define the Interpretability Object
The organization must define which cognition activities require interpretability governance.

This may include:

  • reasoning processes
  • planning activities
  • decision formation
  • tool selection
  • workflow generation
  • delegation activities
  • execution preparation
  • autonomous operational actions

2. Define Interpretability Conditions
The system must define the conditions under which interpretability remains valid.

This includes:

  • explainability requirements
  • communication requirements
  • reviewability requirements
  • supervision requirements
  • intervention requirements
  • governance-visibility requirements

3. Define Interpretability Degradation Detection Logic
The system must define how interpretability degradation is identified.

This may include:

  • unexplained cognition events

  • operational opacity indicators

4. Define Operational Response or Governance Logic
The system must define governance logic for interpretability failures.

can no longer meaningfully understand material cognition events.
