1. Purpose
This framework defines the minimum conditions required for an entity todeclare implementation of the Asset Identity Standard.
The framework allows organizations to adopt the standard through self-
declaration without requiring formal certification.
Self-declaration supports early adoption and transparent implementation of
asset identity structures.
3. Minimum Implementation
Requirements
To declare compatibility with the Asset Identity Standard, a system must implement the following elements.
3.1 Unique Asset Identity
Each asset must possess a unique identity reference.
The identity must allow the asset to be distinguished from all other assets
within the system>
3.2 Origin Recording
The system must record the origin of the asset.Origin may include:
- issuing authority
- creation event
- system admission event
- registration reference
3.3 Lifecycle Reference
The system must allow the identity of the asset to be referenced duringlifecycle events.
Lifecycle events may include:
- validation
- activation
- transfer
- suspension
- state change
3.4 Responsibility Reference
The system must define the entity responsible for maintaining the assetidentity record.
Responsibility may be assigned to:
- an organization
- a system authority
- environmental accountability
- a protocol governance mechanism
4. Transparency
Organizations declaring compatibility should make available:
- identity structure description
- system boundaries
- lifecycle event structure
operate within the system.
5. Optional Independent
Verification
Self-declaration does not require independent verification. However, organizations may voluntarily request:
- third-party verification
- internal audit review
- governance oversight
7. Important Clarification
Self-declaration:
- does not constitute certification
- does not imply endorsement by OOF™
- represents a transparency statement by the implementing entity
