About Integrity State Standard - (ISS)
Understanding the Current Condition of Integrity
Objective measurements alone do not describe the actual condition ofintegrity. Governance requires a standardized representation of integrity that
communicates whether a governed entity currently operates with preserved,
degraded, compromised, or restored integrity.
Why ISS Exists
After integrity has been defined, structured, protected by governanceconditions, and objectively measured, governance still requires a clear answer
to one essential question:
What is the current integrity condition?
Building upon the objective measurements established by IMS, ISS transforms
integrity measurements into standardized operational integrity states.
This enables organizations, autonomous systems, regulators, auditors, and
governance frameworks to communicate integrity consistently using a common
operational language.
What ISS Governs
ISS governs the classification and lifecycle management of integrity states,including: integrity state determination, integrity state classification,
operational integrity status, state transition governance, integrity state
consistency, lifecycle state management, integrity state reporting.
This governed space ensures that integrity is represented consistently across
all operational, organizational, digital, and autonomous environments.
Architectural Position
Within INTEGROS® — Integrity Governance Architecture, ISS is the fifth ParentStandard in the governance flow:
Definition → Structure → Conditions → Measurement → State → Deviation → Breach
→ Response → Restoration → Assurance
ISS establishes the canonical operational representation of integrity before
deviations, breaches, governance responses, restoration activities, and
long-term assurance are performed.
