Canonical Definition System
Canonical DefinitionDelegation Revocation Module (DRM) defines
the structural conditions under which delegated
governance authority may be suspended, withdrawn,
terminated, restricted, revoked, reviewed, governed,
traceable, auditable, and operationally valid
throughout the governance lifecycle.
DRM governs delegation revocation.
The module establishes the foundational conditions
required to determine when delegated authority
may be removed, how delegated authority is revoked,
who may revoke delegated authority, and whether
delegation revocation remains reconstructable
throughout operational reality.
Delegated authority may be assigned.
Delegated authority may be validated.
Delegated authority may be revoked.
DRM governs that revocation.
Module Operational Space
DRM governs:- delegation revocation
- delegated-authority withdrawal
- delegated-authority suspension
- delegated-authority termination
- delegation restriction
- delegation auditability
- delegation traceability
- delegation reconstruction
The module applies wherever delegated authority
must be removed, suspended, restricted, or terminated.
Module Function
The module applies wherever systems must preserve:- legitimate delegation revocations
- traceable authority withdrawals
- reconstructable revocation history
- attributable revocation decisions
- governance-valid revocation records
- operational governance control
Its function is to ensure that governance can
reconstruct when, why, and how delegated
authority was revoked.
Minimum Implementation Framework
1. Define the Delegation Revocation ObjectThe organization must define which governance
environments require delegation-revocation governance.
This may include:
- organizations
- institutions
- governments
- governance committees
- corporate governance structures
- AI governance systems
- autonomous-agent ecosystems
- Human-AI governance environments
2. Define Delegation Revocation Conditions
The system must define the conditions under which
delegation revocation remains valid.
This includes:
- revocation requirements
- authorization requirements
- legitimacy requirements
- traceability requirements
- validation requirements
- governance-valid revocation conditions
3. Define Revocation Degradation Detection Logic
The system must define how delegation-revocation
failures are identified.
This may include:
- unauthorized revocations
- hidden authority removals
- undocumented revocation activities
- illegitimate authority withdrawals
- unverifiable revocation records
- governance-invalid revocation actions
4. Define Operational Response or Governance Logic
The system must define governance logic for
delegation-revocation failures.
Governance response may include:
- revocation review
- revocation validation
- governance intervention
- corrective actions
- revocation reconstruction
- authorization verification
- operational invalidation where required
5. Preserve Traceability & Restrict Invalid Conditions
The system must preserve reconstructable traceability of:
- delegation revocations
- revocation decisions
- governance reviews
- intervention procedures
- validation activities
- resulting delegation states
A governance environment must not remain revocation-valid
if materially significant delegation revocations cannot be
reconstructed, reviewed, validated, attributed,
preserved, or governed.
Use Case 1 — Organizational Governance Misconduct
ScenarioA governance actor violates governance obligations
and delegated authority must be removed to protect
governance integrity.
Application
DRM governs delegated-authority revocation, revocation
legitimacy, and governance-valid authority-withdrawal
procedures.
Result
The organization gains stronger governance protection,
reduced governance risk, and improved
governance control.
Use Case 2 — Human-AI Governance Environment
ScenarioAn AI system exceeds approved governance conditions
and delegated authority must be suspended until
governance review is completed.
Application
DRM governs authority suspension, delegation revocation,
and governance-valid intervention procedures.
Result
The organization gains stronger Human-AI governance
control, reduced operational risk, and improved
governance safeguard capability.
Canonical Closing Statement
Delegation Revocation Module (DRM) defines the structuralconditions under which delegated governance authority may be
suspended, withdrawn, terminated, restricted, revoked,
reviewed, governed, traceable, auditable, and operationally
valid throughout the governance lifecycle.
Delegated authority that cannot be revoked cannot remain
governable. Delegation Revocation therefore becomes a
foundational condition of trustworthy governance
delegation governance.
