Its function is to ensure that adaptation remains explainable and governable.

Minimum Implementation Framework

1. Define the Adaptation Object
The organization must define which adaptation activities require governance.

This may include:

  • AI adaptation

  • institutional adaptation
  • operational adaptation
  • environmental adaptation
  • Human-AI adaptation
  • autonomous adaptation

2. Define Adaptation Conditions
The system must define the conditions under which adaptation remains valid.

  • validation requirements
  • reality-alignment requirements
  • governance-valid adaptation conditions

3. Define Adaptation Degradation Detection Logic
The system must define how adaptation degradation is identified.

This may include:

  • adaptation drift

  • adaptation instability
  • governance-blind modification
  • reality-detached adaptation

4. Define Operational Response or Governance Logic
The system must define governance logic for adaptation-integrity failures.

Governance response may include:

  • operational invalidation where required

5. Preserve Traceability & Restrict Invalid Conditions
The system must preserve reconstructable traceability of:

A cognition environment must not remain adaptation-valid if materially significant
adaptation events cannot be reconstructed, reviewed, or governed.
