Operational Role

A governed Event–Value relationship is not sufficiently robust
merely because a final association exists.

The association must also remain reconstructable.

A downstream system, auditor, regulator, tax authority,
enterprise system, AI system, or later governance process may
need to understand: which value information entered governance;
which candidates were included or excluded; which references were
used; how equivalent or non-equivalent references were
distinguished; which Value Changes were associated; which Value
States were associated; which sources supported those decisions;
which uncertainties existed; which conflicts existed; which
corrections occurred; and whether the final Value Association
remains historically coherent.

VATM provides the traceability layer required to answer those
questions.

Internal Module Flow

TRVAS operates through:

VAIM — Value Association Identification

↓

VARM — Value Reference

↓

VACM — Value Change Association

↓

VASM — Value State
Association

↓

VATM — Value Association Traceability

↓

Governed
Value-Associated Event

VATM is the final module of TRVAS.

It receives the governed outputs of the preceding four modules
and consolidates their traceability.

Operational Transition

The canonical VATM transition is:

VAIM Output + VARM Output + VACM Output + VASM Output

↓

Value
Association Traceability Governance

↓

Governed Value-Associated
Event

The principal traceability output is:

Governed Value Association Traceability
Structure

When TRVAS requirements are satisfied, the Parent Standard
produces:

Governed Value-Associated Event
Operational Space

VATM governs: end-to-end Value Association traceability; source
lineage; candidate lineage; reference lineage; Value Change
Association lineage; Value State Association lineage; decision
provenance; qualification history; inclusion and exclusion
history; uncertainty history; conflict history; correction
history; supersession history; cross-system traceability;
traceability continuity; traceability completeness; traceability
integrity; reconstructability; and readiness for downstream Event
Relationship governance.

Operational Scope

VATM may preserve traceability across: ERP systems; banking
systems; payment networks; accounting platforms; commerce
systems; marketplaces; blockchain networks; digital-asset
platforms; industrial infrastructure; energy systems; AI agents;
autonomous systems; machine-to-machine systems; tax technology;
reporting systems; audit systems; and other operational or
governance environments.

VATM remains neutral to the technology producing the underlying
records.

Traceability Object

A Value Association Traceability Object is a governed
representation of the information required to reconstruct one or
more parts of the Event–Value Association.

It may refer to: a candidate; a source; a reference; a Value
Change Association; a Value State Association; a decision; a
correction; a conflict; an uncertainty; or a handoff.

Traceability Object ≠ Evidence Conclusion.

Traceability preserves the path.

It does not automatically prove that every upstream decision was
correct.

End-to-End Traceability

VATM shall preserve the complete governance path:

Available Value Information

↓

Value Association Candidate

↓

Governed Value Reference

↓

Governed Value Change Association

↓

Governed Value State Association

↓

Governed Value-Associated
Event

This path shall remain reconstructable to the degree required by
the governed context.

Final Association ≠ Sufficient Traceability by default.

Source Lineage

VATM shall preserve the sources that contributed to the Value
Association.

Sources may include: system records; governed VFM® outputs;
transaction records; banking data; blockchain data; invoices;
machine-generated records; operational systems;
participant-linked records; or other legitimate sources.

The source chain should remain distinguishable.

Source Presence ≠ Source Authority by default.

Candidate Lineage

VATM shall preserve which value information entered VAIM and what
happened to it.

This includes: candidate creation; candidate qualification;
candidate inclusion; candidate exclusion; candidate duplication;
candidate ambiguity; candidate conflict; and candidate
reconsideration.

Excluded Candidate ≠ Erased Candidate.

Where materially relevant, the fact that a candidate was
considered and excluded should remain reconstructable.

Reference Lineage

VATM shall preserve the reference structure established by VARM.

This includes: source references; governed references; equivalent
references; non-equivalent references; composite references;
hierarchy; normalization; substitution; versioning; and
correction.

Reference Change ≠ Traceability Break by default.

Value Change Association Lineage

VATM shall preserve how governed Value Changes became associated
with the event.

This includes: direct association; indirect association; partial
association; sequential association; concurrent association;
reversals; refunds; corrections; uncertainty; and conflict.

The traceability record shall distinguish the Value Change itself
from the decision to associate it with the event.

Value Change Traceability ≠ Value Change Governance.

Value State Association Lineage

VATM shall preserve how governed Value States became associated
with the event.

This may include: pre-event State Association; event-phase State
Association; post-event State Association; multiple states;
concurrent states; partial states; supersession; correction;
uncertainty; and conflict.

State History ≠ Current State Only.

Historical Event–Value State relationships shall remain
reconstructable where governance requires it.

Decision Provenance

A Value Association may involve governance decisions at several
stages.

VATM shall preserve sufficient information to identify: what
decision was made; which module made it; which inputs were used;
what qualification applied; what uncertainty existed; and what
later change affected the decision.

Decision Provenance ≠ Decision Justification by itself.

It enables the decision to be reviewed.

Inclusion Traceability

Where value information is included in the final association
structure, VATM shall preserve how it moved from candidate status
into the governed association.

The trace should permit reconstruction of:

Candidate

↓

Reference

↓

Change Association / State Association

↓

Final Value Association Exclusion Traceability

Where materially relevant value information is excluded, VATM
should preserve: what was excluded; why it was excluded; at which
stage; based on what information; and whether the exclusion was
later reconsidered.

Exclusion ≠ Nonexistence.

Qualification Traceability

An association may be qualified rather than absolute.

VATM shall preserve qualifications such as: direct; indirect;
partial; estimated; provisional; uncertain; conflicted; or
otherwise constrained.

Qualified Association ≠ Defective Association by default.

Qualification may accurately represent incomplete or complex
operational reality.

Uncertainty Traceability

Uncertainty shall remain visible across the governance chain.

VATM shall preserve: where uncertainty arose; what it affected;
whether it changed; whether it was resolved; and what downstream
decisions consumed the uncertain result.

Uncertainty Resolution ≠ Historical Uncertainty Erasure.

Conflict Traceability

Conflicting sources or associations shall remain reconstructable.

VATM should preserve: the competing records; the affected
governance object; the conflict state; any resolution; and any
residual uncertainty.

Resolved Conflict ≠ Conflict Never Existed.

Correction Traceability

Corrections may occur at any TRVAS stage.

VATM shall preserve: the original representation; the corrected
representation; the reason for correction where governed; the
effective correction point; and downstream dependencies affected
by the change.

Correction ≠ Historical Erasure.

Supersession Traceability

A later reference, State Association, or Value Association
representation may supersede an earlier one.

VATM shall preserve the relationship between prior and subsequent
representations.

Superseded ≠ Deleted.

Traceability Continuity

Traceability shall remain continuous where references, systems,
actors, or representations change.

For example:

ERP Reference A

↓

ERP Reference B

↓

Governed Value Reference

should remain connected where they represent the same governed
value structure.

System Migration ≠ Traceability Reset.

Cross-System Traceability

A single Value Association may span several systems.

VATM shall support traceability across heterogeneous
infrastructures.

For example:

Marketplace

↓

ERP

↓

Payment Provider

↓

Bank

↓

Blockchain

↓

Tax Engine

The systems may use different identifiers and data structures.

VATM preserves the governance relationships between them.

Cross-Organization Traceability

An event may involve several organizations.

No single participant may possess the full Value Association
record.

VATM may therefore support federated or distributed traceability
where governance permits.

Distributed Traceability ≠ Centralized Data Ownership
Requirement.

The traceability model may preserve relationships without
requiring all source data to be physically centralized.

Blockchain Traceability

Blockchain systems provide strong technical transaction lineage.

However, technical ledger history does not automatically equal
complete Value Association traceability.

Blockchain Traceability ≠ Economic Event Traceability by default.

VATM may incorporate blockchain references while also preserving
off-chain and governance-layer relationships.

Banking Traceability

Bank records may strongly establish movement of money.

But bank lineage alone may not explain: which event the payment
belongs to; which components it settles; whether it covers
several events; or whether the amount represents the full Event
Value.

Therefore:

Payment Traceability ≠ Complete Value Association Traceability.

Machine and Autonomous Traceability

AI agents and autonomous systems may create Value Associations
across several machine-generated actions.

VATM shall support traceability of: machine-originated value
candidates; agent references; autonomous transactions;
resource-consumption records; digital settlement;
machine-generated corrections; and human intervention where
relevant.

Machine-Generated Traceability ≠ Untraceable Activity.

Autonomous execution should not remove the requirement for
reconstructable governance.

Traceability and Identity

Traceability may contain actor references.

VATM does not establish origin-bound identity, ownership,
authority, or permission.

Traceability Reference to Actor ≠ Identity Governance.

OBIDENITY® remains authoritative where applicable.

Traceability and Participation

VATM may preserve participant references supplied by TREPS.

It does not redetermine whether the actor participated.

Participation Traceability ≠ Participation Determination.

Traceability and Event Boundary

Traceability may reveal information that suggests an Event
Boundary problem.

VATM shall not independently redefine the boundary.

Traceability Discovery ≠ Event Boundary Expansion.

Potential issues shall be referred to TREBS.

Traceability and Event Relationships

A Value Association trace may show that the same value interacts
with multiple events.

VATM preserves that information.

It does not determine how those events relate.

Shared Value Trace ≠ Event Relationship Determination.

TRERLS remains authoritative for Event Relationships.

Traceability and Evidence

Traceability may support evidence governance, auditability, or
validation.

However:

Traceability ≠ Evidence Sufficiency.

Traceability ≠ Validation.

Traceability ≠ Audit Conclusion.

ADIT® and VALIDOS™ remain authoritative for their respective
governance spaces.

Traceability and Taxation

VATM may provide jurisdictional tax systems with a
reconstructable Value Association record.

It does not determine: taxable value; taxable income; taxable
gain; Tax Base; tax rate; tax liability; deduction; exemption;
taxable person; jurisdiction; or legal tax consequence.

Therefore:

Traceable Value Association ≠ Taxable Value.

Multi-Jurisdiction Traceability

A major purpose of VATM is to allow multiple jurisdictions to
consume the same governed Event–Value history.

The model is:

One Governed Value Association
Traceability Structure

↓

Multiple Jurisdictional Evaluations

Each jurisdiction may apply different legal rules.

The underlying governance history remains stable.

This improves comparability and reduces the need to reconstruct
operational reality separately for each jurisdiction.

Historical Reconstruction

VATM shall support reconstruction of the Value Association as it
existed at a relevant historical point.

A later corrected or superseded state should not prevent an
authorized governance process from understanding the earlier
representation.

Current Value Association ≠ Complete Historical Value
Association. Reproducibility

Where sufficient source information remains available, VATM
should support reproduction of the governance path that generated
the Value Association.

This does not require that every decision be automatically
repeated with the same outcome under changed information.

Reproducibility ≠ Immutable Conclusion.

Traceability Completeness

A traceability structure should be sufficiently complete to
reconstruct the material Value Association governance path.

Completeness does not require preserving every technically
available data point.

Traceability Completeness ≠ Total Data Capture.

The requirement is governed sufficiency, not indiscriminate
accumulation.

Traceability Integrity

VATM shall protect the relationship between traceability records
and the governance objects they represent.

A record should not be silently detached, reassigned,
overwritten, or merged in a manner that destroys
reconstructability.

Traceability Integrity ≠ Data Immutability by default.

Corrections may be legitimate if their history remains governed.

Traceability Interoperability

VATM should permit traceability structures to move across systems
without losing their core governance meaning.

This may support: enterprise interoperability; tax-engine
integration; audit workflows; cross-border reporting; banking;
blockchain infrastructure; digital platforms; AI systems; and
regulatory technology.

Interoperability does not require identical technical
implementation.

Traceability Confidence

VATM may represent confidence in the completeness and integrity
of the traceability chain.

Possible states may include:

Complete · Qualified · Partial · Ambiguous · Conflicted ·
Incomplete · Unresolved

Traceability confidence concerns reconstructability.

It does not replace upstream confidence states.

Governance States

VATM may represent states including:

Traceability Ready

Traceability Under Governance

Source Lineage Established

Candidate Lineage Established

Reference Lineage Established

Value Change Lineage Established

Value State Lineage Established

Cross-System Traceability Established

Traceability Qualified

Traceability Partial

Traceability Ambiguous

Traceability Conflicted

Traceability Incomplete

Traceability Unresolved

Governed Value Association Traceability
Established

Governed Value-Associated Event Ready
Governance Requirements

VATM implementations shall ensure that: the complete material
Value Association governance chain can be reconstructed; source
lineage is preserved; candidate inclusion and exclusion history
can remain reconstructable; reference lineage is preserved; Value
Change Association lineage is preserved; Value State Association
lineage is preserved; governance decisions remain attributable to
their appropriate module; qualifications remain visible;
uncertainty remains visible; conflict remains visible;
corrections remain traceable; supersession does not erase prior
governed representations; system migration does not automatically
break traceability; cross-system relationships can be preserved;
cross-organization traceability can be supported where required;
blockchain records are not treated as complete economic
traceability by default; banking records are not treated as
complete Value Association traceability by default; autonomous
and machine-generated activity remains reconstructable; identity
governance remains separate; participation determination remains
separate; Event Boundary remains protected; Event Relationships
remain separate; evidence sufficiency remains separate;
validation remains separate; tax determination remains
downstream; and the final Governed Value-Associated Event retains
a sufficiently reconstructable Value Association history.

Governance Logic

IF VAIM, VARM, VACM, and VASM produce governed outputs, THEN VATM
shall preserve the material lineage connecting those outputs.

IF an upstream governance object is corrected, THEN the original
and corrected traceability states shall remain reconstructable
where required.

IF an upstream object is superseded, THEN the relationship
between prior and subsequent representations shall remain
visible.

IF uncertainty or conflict existed during governance, THEN later
resolution shall not silently erase the historical state.

IF multiple systems describe the same governed Value Association,
THEN cross-system relationships shall be preserved where
sufficiently established.

IF one system identifier changes, THEN traceability continuity
shall not be broken solely because of the identifier change.

IF traceability information reveals a possible upstream
governance issue, THEN VATM shall refer the issue to the
appropriate module or Parent Standard rather than redetermine
that space.

IF the Value Association governance chain is sufficiently
reconstructable, qualified, and internally coherent, THEN the
event may be represented as a Governed Value-Associated Event and
handed to TRERLS.

Enterprise Application

VATM provides the final traceability layer connecting fragmented
value information into one reconstructable TREGA™ Event–Value
governance chain.

The operational path is:

VAIM — Value Association Identification

↓

VARM — Value Reference

↓

VACM — Value Change Association

↓

VASM — Value State
Association

↓

VATM — Value Association Traceability

↓

Governed
Value-Associated Event

↓

TRERLS — Event Relationship Governance

For enterprises, banks, marketplaces, blockchain platforms, ERP
systems, tax technology, AI agents, autonomous systems, and
public-sector infrastructure, this creates a structured record of
not only what value is associated with an event, but also how
that conclusion was governed and how it can later be
reconstructed. Use Case 1 — Cross-Border Banking and Enterprise
Audit

A multinational group records one commercial event across an ERP
system, payment provider, bank, accounting platform, and tax
engine.

The underlying value passes through several references, a partial
settlement, a currency conversion, and a later correction.

Several years later, the event must be reviewed in another
jurisdiction.

VATM preserves the chain from the original candidate information
through Value References, Value Change Associations, Value State
Associations, corrections, and final Value Association.

The reviewing system can reconstruct how the governed Event–Value
relationship was established without relying solely on the
current ERP record or final bank settlement.

The jurisdiction may then apply its own tax rules to the same
governed historical event. Use Case 2 — Blockchain and Autonomous
Economic Infrastructure

An AI agent purchases computational resources through a
decentralized platform.

The event includes an agent instruction, resource-allocation
record, smart-contract call, token transfer, machine consumption
record, later settlement adjustment, and several upstream Value
State changes.

No single system contains the complete economic history.

VATM links the relevant governance records across the AI
platform, machine infrastructure, blockchain network, and Value
Association modules while preserving uncertainty, corrections,
and source distinctions.

The result is a reconstructable Governed Value-Associated Event
that can be consumed by downstream audit, compliance, or
jurisdiction-specific tax systems without assuming that the
blockchain ledger alone represents the complete economic reality.

Canonical Boundary

VATM owns the end-to-end traceability, lineage,
reconstructability, qualification history, uncertainty history,
conflict history, correction history, supersession history,
cross-system continuity, and traceability integrity of the Value
Association governed under TRVAS.

VATM does not recreate Value Association Candidates, establish
Value References, govern Value Changes, determine Value Change
Associations, govern Value States, determine Value State
Associations, establish Event Participation, redefine Event
Boundary, determine Event Relationships, govern identity or
ownership, determine evidence sufficiency, perform validation,
conduct audit conclusions, or determine taxable value, Tax Base,
Tax Liability, or any other jurisdiction-specific legal or tax
consequence.

Its governance ends when the complete material Event–Value
Association is sufficiently reconstructable and the Governed
Value-Associated Event is ready for Event Relationship governance
under TRERLS.
